Michael Vasquez

Michael Vasquez is the chief instigator behind the Cards for the Courageous – And Those Aspiring To Be.

He was a senior level executive for a franchisee with Blockbuster Entertainment. He then went on to own and operate a franchise restaurant and consulting firm. Michael served as school food service director for twenty years in the El Paso, TX area where he led a staff of 500 dedicated professional food service staff members. During his tenure as school service director, he taught numerous classes in Customer Service and Leadership, co-authored an article in Obesity Society – “Table Tents Decrease School Cafeteria Food Waste” and a speaker at Texas Association for School Nutrition. He has media presence with School Nutrition, El Paso Times, El Paso Inc., and the El Paso TV market. He is a graduate of the Paso del Norte Health Foundation, Leadership Program.  Michael is a proud graduate of Sul Ross State University.

Michael is currently the President of Cibus Brokerage a food service broker representing food manufacturers throughout the United States. He has a daughter, Marcela, and a son Eric. He has been married to Lourdes for 33 years.
